April 9, 2005 (rain date: April 30, 2005)
Location: City Park, Bastrop, Texas

SCGS Club's Giant Spring Fling

Location: According to Spring Fing Hostess Jana Talley, "Jett and I are well acquainted with Bastrop's City Park. It is so pretty we walk there regularly. There is a pavilion that covers a large picnic table where we can set out the food. The pavilion is surrounded with picnic tables and two large, flat grassy areas that would be great for games with dogs. There is also a play-scape, tennis court, basketball court and volleyball net, so bring the kids?

Food: Please bring your "signature dish" to share, your own drink & eating utensils. The club will supply the meat dish.

Games Mistress: Pat Gandy has organized numerous Giant FUN Days over the years and is a creative genius when it comes to planning FUN stuff for Giant Schnauzers to do.

Accommodations: The Holiday Inn Express -- $89.99 for a double, plus $25 pet depsosit. Of we can guarantee a minimum of ten rooms and there are no cancellations, the price would be reduced to $79.99.

Make a Weekend out of it: Bastrop has lots to offer. The park is within waling distance of "downtown" Bastrop where there are plenty of antique and gift shops. There are also quite a few historical houses, an entertainment center that includes movie theaters, a bowling alley, arcades an in-door mini gold
